Parent Leads
A little about our Parent Leads...

Our Parent Leads are real Mammas who represented with our mission and have a passion for bringing Mamas together. They are great leaders who not only manage and run the walks in their area but also have knack for making everyone feel comfortable, welcome, at ease and like they can truly be themselves on every Talk & Walk.
BECKY MEAD
Newport, Wales
Mama to 1 year old Eilidh. We’re from Newport, South Wales. I’m an agency nurse and events medic. After having Eilidh I suffered severely with Postpartum Depression and Postpartum PTSD. I came across Mamma Social on TikTok after seeing a friends post, I’m so excited to bring Talk and Walk sessions to Newport to give other Mamas a safe space to open up, build friendships and create our village.

I am a mum to two absolute smashers my most favourite job in the world. I run Baby Massage & Sensory classes in my local area with a big focus on parents wellbeing as I know first hand how challenging raising little ones can be. I am really excited to join as a Parent lead to support families in a different way plus I have very fond memories of going to a buggy group every week when my son was tiny which was such a wonderful way to get some exercise, fresh air, have a chat and make friends with other parents too.

Mam to 4 month old Nolan. I started coming to Talk & Walk to meet local Mams and to get out of the house as I was getting a bit stir crazy. What I've found is an amazing community of brilliant women who provide support, advice and encouragement to each other. I'm looking forward to continuing to be apart of this network for existing and new Mam's in Wheatley Hill.

KIRSTY FORSTER
Peterlee, Durham

I'm a single mam to an amazing but crazy little girl Poppy. I really struggled through pregnancy physically and after having my daughter I struggled mentally. I know how lonely motherhood can feel, but it doesn't have to because we're out there. We're here to listen, talk or even just walk and take in the surroundings life has to offer, but together. I want to become a part of something that I know all mothers need even if it is just to get things off our chests or be in each other's company. Remembering that it takes a village to raise a child. No one has to do it alone.
SHAN CHLOE
Sefton Park, Liverpool

first time Mama to my beautiful miracle baby. I have relocated from Birmingham to Liverpool with my husband over a year ago. I’m a Fitness Coach empowering women to be the best version of themselves physically & mentally in their postpartum journey. Connecting with other mamas has been such a blessing, and has helped me in my journey to motherhood. As a first time mum, things can get overwhelming and scary, but when you have women who have gone ahead of you and are able to share their experiences - it is just so priceless!
BEX GARDINER
North Sheilds

A mum of one who is currently pregnant with my second. I had my first baby during covid lockdown so wasn’t able to attend any in person classes or workshops with other parents to be which meant I felt quite alone when it came to postpartum, lots of questions went unanswered and I suffered with anxiety around if I was doing the right thing. So I’d love to help facilitate a group who can learn from, and support, each other during a time when life throws all sorts at you.

I’m Mama to my life loving slightly crazy 3 year old, Zara & my sweet little cuddly 8 month old baby boy, Sonny!
Being a new Mum is honestly so empowering and I wouldn’t change it for the world however it definitely has its challenges, so just a reminder… be kind to yourself!
Let’s ride this rollercoaster together, make sure to buckle up as it’s going to be a bumpy ride!
Come have a cuppa & a natter whilst navigating this crazy journey that is motherhood
LISA CLARKE
Chester-le-street, Durham

After a very difficult pregnancy I found the first year of motherhood wonderful, but tough. Nothing can prepare you for how overwhelming and isolating those early days are.
My daughter’s loving smile, discovering the benefits of meditation & healing crystals and getting outside and being at one with nature helped get me through.

Growing humans is hard work but being a mum is even harder. As a mum of two (currently my boy is 6, and my girl is 3) it’s amazing how every stage comes with new challenges. Newborn you’re thrown into a world of suddenly caring for this little being who only has eyes for you, through to toddler’s pushing boundaries, and school kids who want to spend all their time on the tablets and tele. It can be so overwhelming, which is why it’s so important to me to support mothers. As a birth worker it has always been my priority to advocate and support parents.
JO FARREN
Letchworth, Hertsfordshire

Jo uses her skills to provide bespoke guidance including the use of herbal medicine, nutrition, supplements and lifestyle medicine. These combinations have a profound impact on your wellbeing and getting out in nature is always something she has advocated as a solid starting point to maintaining good health longer term. So when she heard about Mamma Social Co it felt perfectly aligned to the work she has been doing for so long whilst echoing her values supporting women.
HOLLY
Maidstone, Kent

I'm a mum of two. I grew up in Medway and moved to Maidstone in 2018. I work in Early Years Education and also volunteer for a breastfeeding charity.
After struggling to find other local Mum's, I'd like to help combat parent loneliness and create a safe space for myself and others.
JADE
Seaburn

I'm a mam of two beautiful babys. One an angel in the sky, my Leo and my little rainbow baby Olive (who's 9 weeks old)
When on maternity with Leo I found it very easy to stay in the house. It wasn't long after covid, there was no groups really running then I returned to work after 3 month and I got stuck in a rut!
I'm determined to get out and about this time round, meet new mammas (and babys) and make some friends along the way!
Parenthood feels so different this time round and I'm here to help anyone who's feeling happy, sad, lost the list goes on!

I’m a 30 year old first time mum to Jude who I gave birth to in January 2024. I initially struggled to connect with other new mums in my area, until Mamma Social was recommended to me. Since then I have loved attending lots of talk and walks and I now have a strong network of lovely mums who have quickly become good friends. I am determined to spread the word about Mamma Social so other mums can share the great experience I have as a new mum. I look forward to meeting you!
EMMA SIMS

As a new mum to 4 month old Teddy I have enjoyed going on my local talk and walks since he was a couple of weeks old. Getting out to stretch my legs and get some adult conversation every week was amazing for me! When the opportunity came up to take over and help other mums find the same community that I did I couldn’t resist getting involved.

I'm a mam of 2 under 3. I am currently on maternity leave with baby Hayden and have decided to join MammaSocial for the second time, leading this beautiful walk in Newburn. I absolutely loved being able to meet new mams when lead my first walk on maternity leave with Freya. We shared stories, had a laugh, got some exercise and most importantly realised, none of us have it all figured out. I hope to create a lovely inviting group for you all to join and be part of the Mamma Social Tribe!
KAREN
Kilmarnock, Scotland

I run a low-impact pre and postpartum fitness class that focuses on functional fitness, strengthening the core and pelvic floor and is used as a stepping stone before going back to high-impact training.
I was looking forward to building a community of mums in the area through my classes but when the opportunity arose with Mamma Social, I thought it would be beneficial to combine the two aspects as I understand that not everyone can afford weekly classes but still want to meet mum friends.
EMILY

BECCA THOMPSON
Hetton

After having my son in 2022 I left my job and now run a business supporting women from pregnancy into motherhood. Since becoming a mother I've discovered the transformative power of nature and human connection. Whether it's through a walk in the woods or a heartfelt conversation over a cuppa, I believe that these moments of connection are medicine for the soul. Motherhood is an amazing journey but it definitely takes a village.
EMMA
Newcastle
I live in Newcastle with my hubby and two young sons, Owen and Matthew.
I'm also a local Hypnobirthing & Antenatal teacher and the founder of Blooming Births Hypnobirthing.
I know myself how important it is to start building your village of like-minded mam friends who just get it! My superpower is definitely being able to put people at ease, and my friends would describe me as friendly, warm, and non judgemental. I'm beyond excited to be working with Mamma social co and jumped at the chance to become a parent lead.

I have a passion for using all my experiences as a early years practitioner and a desire to continue to promote health and wellbeing outdoors
Especially within exploring in nature and bonding with your little one, whilst having opportunity to enjoy the green spaces and keep moving together within a community
Knowing the range of benefits that there are for both parent and child from being in nature, movement has become integral part of our daily routine.
I look forward to seeing you and your little one soon!
FAYE ALDRIDGE
Brinscall Lancs
Mum to three boys aged 9, 7(almost) and a newborn.
I run a playgroup in Lancashire and was asked by Julie to become a parent lead back in the summer of 2022. I have really enjoyed leading the sessions. Walking and being outside is part of my daily routine - so being able to do this with other families has been lovely.
I find one of the biggest benefits of the group is meeting new parents and building new friendships. On our walks, we are able to chat, ask and offer advice and share tips in a non judgmental environment.
Now I’m a new mum again, I need the support of our Mamma Social community more than ever
ALICE SMALLEY
Smithills

I’m Mamma to our little boy, Freddie and our not-so-little Labrador! Although I live outside of Bolton these days, my husband and I grew up in Smithills and I love the area. When I’m not being Mummy, I’m teaching Art. You’ll also find me baking or trying to make time to do something creative for myself. Freddie and I love getting out in the fresh air and enjoying some green spaces. Whatever the weather, we always feel better for doing it! I am passionate about helping parents to find, create or grow their “village” support network to share all things bump, baby and parenthood. We’d love to see you for a walk, a chat, cake and a good brew!
RACH KERSHAW

I’m a first time mum to my little boy currently navigating through my new role in motherhood. I found Mamma Social when my little boy was 4 months old, after attending so many different baby classes. And - when I say I found my tribe - I mean it!
A no judgment, friendly, inclusive group for parents to explore and bond with other parents! Now returning back to work, I feel it’s my time to help other mammas/ parents come together and create new friendships to help comfort, support and encourage a mentally healthier parenthood.
KIRA
Seaham

First time mam to my gorgeous 5 month old baby girl. Becoming a mother is such a life altering change which I've found incredibly wonderful but also super challenging at times. Walk and plays/ walk and talks make those challenging times that bit easier for me by being able to get out of the house and chat with other parents going through similar. I'm super excited to be parent lead for seaham to meet other local parents not only hear all about their experiences of navigating parenthood but also enjoy a nice walk and share plenty of laughs (or be a shoulder to cry on if needed!) I look forward to meeting any of you who come along!
CHERYL ARMSTRONG
Shincliffe

I am a mammy to two beautiful and feisty little ones and two fur babies. Becoming a parent is a life changing event and with that comes challenges, when we support each other and come together we can build our own community. I am wanting our Talk and Walks to be somewhere we can talk, rant, cry and laugh in a truly non-judgmental environment. Amongst like minded adults who can talk about whatever life or baby has thrown at us, share parenting hacks, tips and tricks, and enjoy some fresh air and gentle exercise. I want to encourage people to not be alone, to come together, and promote their well being as well as their babies, to join us and build friendships and their own community. Plus, I love a good old chat and if there is cake- I’m there!
